Painting floor boards
I would like to paint the floor boards on my 46 F1. black
I would like to know what paint I should use?
Would truck box liner like Linex or similar work ?

Boeing - I have four WWII or Korean War vintage Jeeps: during the restoration process, I used the roll-on or brush truck bed liner available at AutoZone or O'Reilly. Brushed the entire underside as well the interior. Then painted OD Green - they have held up well, especially considering I invite people and their children to sit in / take pictures at shows or various parade events. I have had no trouble witching peeling or lifting. Hope this helps!
Happy New Year to all!

i had a mixture of old floor and new smooth patch panels. i painted the cab floor and fiberglass running boards with bedliner. i like the texture, holding up well for 6 years.

If it is new/replacement floorboard, be sure to fit it in place first. The reproduction I got for my '41 coupe took a bit of pounding, bending, and grinding down the corners for it to go down tight. The pedal holes had to be reshaped, and the dimmer switch hole was in the wrong place, due to difference between '41 and '42 - '46. Then it got painted with black rustoleum.

Rustoleum rusty metal primer. Then top coat with whatever. I never get around to top coat because my favorite color is rustoleum rusty metal primer.
