Painting and assembly order

On my '29 RPU should I paint the tank, lower cowl, and cab separately prior to assembly, or should I assemble these components and than paint them together? or, does it really matter? What are the considerations and preferences? Thanks, Russ

:):)I usually like to paint it in pieces so I can get into all the spaces behind the tank and the firewall. Then I assemble and paint again when ready, so it looks like it was done at the factory with the gas tank welting painted.
This would be done at tfinal pint with doors on so I do not scratch the paint mounting the doors,
I hope this helps,
Ken:D

I agree with Ken, and I'd also paint the hood at the same time, that way you know everything will match dead on color wise. Same goes for the bed, but since it doesn't tough the cab you could paint it on another day.
