What kind of paint is good for the front and rear axles on the A,s ? What should I use to get the grease off the metal before painting?

a metal scraper for the heavy stuff, oven cleaner in the spray can for the stuff the scraper didnt get, and then soap and water to remove the oven cleaner, a high pressure water washer as a final clean up

I've used satin (semi gloss) black Rustoleum. I usually add universal hardener for added durability and it dries quicker. Eastwood and others have chassis black that is usually semi gloss black and more expensive.

I also used the Rustoleum (but without the hardner).
