If you are a member of the Model A Ford Club of America or the Model A Restorers Club (the two national Model A clubs) then you can order the Model A Ford Paint & Finish Guide, 4th edition revised. Or you could borrow this from a friend who does belong and might have this publication. Paint formulas have gone by the wayside due to regulations and changes in paint in the industry over the years. That is why this publication is so valuable. It has large enough paint chips in it that can be scanned by your local paint store. That way you can be assured that you have the proper authentic Brewster green Model A color!

I don't think the brand of paint matters so much. I would not choose a base coat--clear coat system if I wanted to maintain authenticity. Your call on this.

Hello, this is a lower curtain panel that was sample painted Brewster Green, didn’t like it and decided to paint car black, sorry I don’t have the formula, but will ask the jobber if he could get me it .

The new paint book does not have paint chips. They are swatches printed on paper and lack the proper gloss, etc. I doubt they can be scanned. Your best bet is to go to the paint store and sit out front with his chip books in the sun and find a color closest to what you want.
