PAB Prefix

What year and make does the PAB prefix refer to? It seems I am stumbling onto more and more parts with this prefix. This time on fender markers. Also have some 1P prefix part numbers which mainly seem to be transmission parts so far. Thanks Rod
 
I think the 1P prefix is for early Fordomatic transmission applications, up till the Yblocks used an updated version of them around '55. Doesn't mean they weren't used later in other models but that was the original designation/appl.

The PAB is - I think - a prefix that Ford used for a few years on some of their universal items & wasn't specifically for any year, make or model. Examples might be mudflaps, floormats, etc.

Perhaps someone else can provide a bit more detail.
 
Thanks. Good to know about the Fordomatic parts. Some of it dispite being NOS looks beyond use but most of it looks good. I sure wish the guy who owned this stuff before would hace stored it better. About one half of a milk box of the small parts the numbers are unreadable. But still a lot of stuff. Rod
