Overdrive Question

Don, If I recall...You had to install the lever, at the box, in the down position instead of the normal up position. This was because of the floorboard clearance problem with the lever in the up position. Have you had any problems with the Mitchell box rubbing the rear floorboard at all? Thanks, Pat

Pat no I just put the lever on the bottom and that in turned put the cable in a push o get in OD instead of pull. But I did use a set of Posies reverse eye springs on my car so it lowered it some. The only time it hit the floor was when someone was in the backseat and I hit a bump.and the new Bradley floors may be a tad lower than stock but had to place where they fit.Did not turn unit over shift still on left side Don

Don, You may have stated earlier...but what gear are you running? My convertible has the 4:11. How hard was it to remove the torq tube and replace it with the Mitchell? Does the rear end assembly have to be removed from the car to convert? Thanks, Pat

Pat I did mine on a frame off resto but it seems to be simple as it is just pull torque tube and rear out and replace tube with sleeve and the speedometer gear is in the OD unit and replace the whole thing just slides in place. They supply all couplers for rear end and all.Best unit to use.I told Sue the rear ratio and tire size and they gave me the correct speedometer gear for it.Hope this help need anymore just ask Don
