I have a 1950 Mercury motor I have tried every thing. I was told to use vinegar to clean the inside of the motor. I need some help on how to do this.Thank. BOB,
As I understand it, "No-Rosion" is a cooling system anti-corrosion additive, not a cleaner or radiator flush. When I wanted to clean out my '51 Mercury engine, I used "Rust-911" for 2 flush cycles. It worked very well for me. Here's a link : https://www.fordbarn.com/forum/showthread.php?t=203427&highlight=Rust-911.
BTW, I did get the heads to seal and not leak. The problem was one of the spacers I made to stabilize the heads on the block was just a little too long.
"No-Rosion" also has a cooling system cleaner/ flush that works in conjunction with their anti-corrosive additive. And it works on my '51 Mercury engine,my '51 Mercury engine,my '51 Mercury engine.
