Outside Mirrors - '34 Cabriolet

Now that I'm able to actually drive my '34 Cabriolet I find that I really miss not having outside rear view mirrors.

I'd love to have suggestions/photos showing how others have attached these mirrors. Thanks, Bill

I used a 50's English mirror on mine (I think MG?), but that would not fly at all on a restored car. I did have to drill a hole. You are really limited having no door frame for a clamp on, and being suicide door gives no hinge mount locations either. If you want, you may be able to find a small suction cup mirror that you remove at shows and such?

Here is a crummy pic of mine. But it fits the era I was going for and is useful. Like I said, I know not at all appropriate for a restored car.

I also wonder if you could somehow attach one to the cowl light. Again, easily removable?

I am considering buying a '34 cabriolet. I'm thinking, why not use the roadster side mirror attached to the top edge; roll down the window a few inches prior to getting out.

If the window is down the 4+ inches when you close the door and walk off to to whatever, surely it will be okay.

That's what I'm going to do if in fact I obtain this cabriolet.

Hey Johnboy 34, I love those Vintique Cowl light rear vision mirrors on the 34 Cabriolet, I'd like a set for my 34 Cabriolet, do you or anyone know where to buy them? I've checked the usual suspects but have not yet found them.
