In this 1946 GM photo, Mobile Oldsmobile is delivering new cars to WWII vets as part of Oldsmobile's "Valiant Program". In this program, disabled veterans could purchase an Oldsmobile equipped with an automatic transmission and a complete set of hand controls at very low cost. More than 30,000 "Valiant" Oldsmobiles were sold to veterans in the years following WWII.Off topic for Ford barn but can anyone remember the Oldsmobiles for the WWII veterans. Thought they were called Victory models. Just asking.
I have Ford literature for the 1946 Fords that shows the modifications for returning veterans who are amputees.
