OT: Some simple garage fix-up projects

I like the PVC grease gun holder. I am in the process of putting shelves in my work space, so this will fit right in.

Thanks for the ideas.

I do like some of those ideas , especially the one for the grease gun and PVC pipe

The grease gun holder... me likeee.... I currently hang both of mine over the edge of the 55 gallon rag barrel. Usually find myself digging one out of the dirty rags from time to time. (the gun needed wiping down anyway, right?)

I tried the metal top bench idea and didn't like it.

Instead my benches are made from 2" angle iron uprights welded to 2" angle iron top support and a 2" angle iron lower shelf support.(Painted in safety yellow of course.) Both the top of the bench and the shelf is made from 12 foot 2 x 12's (3 for the top and 2 for the shelf) bolted to 3 of the "leg" units. I then attach 1/4" Masonite to the top with countersunk screws. With a good sealer the top lasts for years yet can be quickly replaced.

Jack stand holder is too OCD...

Mine are just hooks on the wall that catch the handle. Less lifting.

The PVC draw organizers.... I get hideous visions of how those would work in a real shop.... but they sure look purdy.

The pvc vacuum extensions do work. Make sure you suck a long piece of lightweight wire through the pipe, from the farthest point to the vacuum, to bleed off the static electricity that will build up. (or... if you are into static shocks.... enjoy!! ) :D

Everyone likes the grease gun holder, including myself. You always have that drip of grease on the bottom of the gun and on the floor where you hang it. this will eleminate that, good ideas

I keep my grease guns, funnels etc in a plastic garbage can with a lid and some cardboard in the bottom of the can. Keeps everything clean and ready to use.
