Is this an original Ford condenser?

It tests out at .288

Might be; they are still out there. I have an original B condenser that tests good, even when heated.

Judging by the crimps I would say yes.

As far as original to the vehicle, I'd figure that is doubtful. As far as an original Ford replacement part. Id say that it's very likely.

Is there a way to determine if this one is "double shell?" The recent Restorer article discusses original design (double shell), revised design originals (double shell) and today's modern reproductions (single shell.)

An "original original" might be worth setting aside as "example."

The overall dimensions might give you a clue.
