Original 33 headlight reflectors

Can anyone post pictures of original 33 headlight reflectors that have the second socket for parking lights? Also would like to know what the original light sockets look like and if the reflectors are supposed to be installed with the parking light socket above or under the headlight socket. Not finding much info on 33-34 ford headlights and adjustments out there. I know the procedure for model A’s but there’s no focusing screw on the back of the 33 buckets.

The parking bulb is at the top.Here is a pic of the repro sockets.Classic Auto in OK and CW Moss has them.If you have the originals try to repair them,by replacing the wires.

To adjust, loosen the mounting nut enough to move the entire outer shell up, down, left or right. The photo above is very close to original, but I prefer the original sockets and replacing the the wires. You can get the wire harness from most of the Ford wiring suppliers.

Those connector bulb terminal ends are spring loaded and crimped into the fiber plate in the socket.Not to my knowledge available from the vendors. I have spliced the wires on the original sockets if enough of a pigtail and shrink tubed the bare wire showing after soldering. If you do this make sure you pull on your repair so the terminal retracks properly. The repo sockets are not that good and sometimes out of round and as a result the bulb does not fit in tight SO fix your orig sockets if you have them.

Sorry, I can't help with the reflectors. But I wanted to mention that I just finished restoring a 1933 V8 generator. You probably know this is a one year only generator. If you are interested, check out my ad in the classified section.

I have NOS reflectors and socket harness, with parking light from little dearborn auction.
Labeled 32, but I believe the same as model 40?

32 is not the same as the Model 40. 32 HL bulb wire pigtails terminate at the headlite bucket socket. Model 40 go all the way thru the hole in the HL bolt then thru the inner fender panel to connect to the wire loom.

Thanks. I put a lot of time and effort into each one I build. Next up is another one year only generator - 1932 V8 with post mount.
