I have found that repro nickel plated hubcaps are very close to the originals. I believe A&L makes them. I am kind of picky and they sure look good to me. With the cost of plating now, find a good original(s) and get it/them plate is big $$.
28/29 hubcaps from A&L are nice but easily distinguishable from originals.
Rusty is correct in that the cost of plating is way up there. Also, you will need to find a plater that won't remove the Ford scripts while polishing the caps!
