Options for '57 F100 steering box slop

99% stock truck has pretty sloppy steering; tightening the adjust screw atop, no longer an option. Many parts, usually unmentioned, carry over from '56, but unsure if the box is the same.

I'd consider adding power assist and know some other years r&r with a Toyota box; my last choice.

So far, I found no rebuilder.
 
FWIW, i drive by Red Head every week (or more) on the 12 mile trip to visit my Mom. They are the go to guys here in the PNW and have been for years. Not knocking anyone else, but Red Head knows their stuff
