Opinions on gaskets

I'm installing the transmission and bell housing on my '30 coupe and got to the outer u-joint covers (clamshell). I have both types of seals, cork and felt and wonder which type is best to use. Any opinions?:confused:
 
KUDOS to the supplier, they gave you 2 choices! If they sent only 1 type, sumone wuld *****!
Sum folks even specify a NEW ROPE fur HANGIN'-----------Ur they afraid an OLD rope would BREAK????
