one pc hood for 36 ford.

wondering if anybody has changed to a one pc hood that would be hinged to firewall so hood will flip up from grill area. we are welding two pcs into one with latch over top of grill, if so what kind of hinges did you use. have seen this set up at different car shows mainly street rod nats etc. thanks for looking Jim
 
the ford pilot had a hood that hinged at the firewall, maybe get a set of hinges from a pilot and use them? the hinges bolted onto the firewall and bolted onto the hood.

Sache Rod Shop, Sache Texas used to sell a universal* kit to do that.

*"universal" kit, works equally poorly on everything. LOL
