I need your help here. A 52 F1 all stock and won't start. Was stored, started and died. Jumped the truck off and sparked the connection as I hooked it up wrong for just a moment. Now it will not start. I blow something and no one can tell me what. Could it be a voltage regulator? A coil maybe? Just put new plugs, points, cap, rotor and condenser. No luck. Battery is good and turns over fast. What can I do next? I really want to get my F1 running and on the road. Are any of you in Green Bay that could help? I would learn more about this model and would pay anyone to help me.
Thanks in advance for your input.

need more information, one did you cross the neg and pos or did you jump using 12v or is your 52 still 6v
so lets start if you cross the pos and neg, yes you could have blown a fuse or if the the battery is totally dead you can cross the polarity
also does the motor turn over, is there spark at the points let us know thanks AL

Thanks. I did that before buying the parts and posting the question a month ago. So you don't know of other possible issues? Thanks for your thoughts

There are no fuses on the 48-52 trucks, if the harness is bone stock.Time to go back to basics and see if you have power from the key switch to the coil. If so, see if you get spark at the coil wire to cap. Then at the plug. If you don't at any of these steps, check each area. You need 3 things for it to fire, spark, air and fuel. If you have good spark, now check the fuel system. Look in the carb and move the throttle to see if gas is squirting. Is the fuel bowl on the pump full? If not, might be sucking air somewhere. Check the plugs to see if they're fouled. Stuck needle and seat in carb?
