Nice friend you have...........making you take his junk.:D
I've never seen a spout setup like that before. Very nice

My friend would love to find something like that, as he paid big bucks recently for a Gargoyle porcelain sign.

A really nice item; looks great! If you do try to clean it be careful; I have had success with Dove (DW soap, specifically that brand) & warm, not hot water. the Dove is mild enough to clean with minimal damage. Red for some reason, is really vulnerable to damage on non-porcelain gas and oil pieces.

Anything with the Gargoyle logo is very desirable.

you have a valuable find there, the filpruf bottle alone is pricey, with the filpruf bottle filler you have a great find, wish I had your luck. there is a filpruf bottle on ebay right now bid is $260.

So glad I chose a Texaco garage instead of Mobile, that bottle would be gone!!!

Hey Gary....thanks for fixing the picture. I took that OK but it posted sideways! Just like a Model A always something.

I'm not looking to sell the thing but you guys really thing it's valuable...that's cool. I like it in the garage behind the Model A. He gave me an old fire extinguisher that is brass and pretty big. I hung that on a wall by the car too. I'll tell my old timer friend the drum is valuable and he'll laugh and I'll have to buy breakfast for a month!! We get together every Saturday and talk cars. The older we get the better we were.

Great story. Sometimes people are less concerned with value than a gesture. When I was around 14 I spent a couple weekend afternoons helping a family friend cut firewood - my reward, not one, but two 32 Ford Grille shells, one passenger (I have it to this day, almost 40 years) and one commercial shell. "paid it forward" and gave the commercial shell to my shop teacher in High school, who was restoring a pick up. I know a deuce shell is worth a few bucks nowadays, but it is a cool reminder of a cool guy.
