I had a 31 coupe like with an engine like that, two 94's, Mallery dizzy, ohv conversion [I think Rhiley or Offenhouser, can't remember] Insert bearings. Of course duel straight pipes. Was it a screamer. I could beat off the line for two pole lenghts, 60's Corvets and most late 50 to 60's stock cars.

Frank Pkny ........................
Isn't that distributor a flathead V8 distributor, that has been converted to 4 cyl. ?
I never saw that before, but it is interesting !
MIKE :)

Yes you are very correct. Great opservation! That's not out of a box. No mail order back then , pure innovation. Great photo. I wish I had some old photo's of my engine. Frank

Here are a few pics of My dad and his brotheres cars from Rochester NY... All the pics are from 1955-57. The 32 3 window and the 34 5 widow cars are still in the family.. wish the roadster was still here too....

32 gnu .......................
That is great that someone took those photos, back in the day AND that you still have them !
Love the long-johns, hanging on the clothes-line !
MIKE :)

32Gnu the toy in post #409 is a "Cal's Colt" supposedly named after Calvin Coolidge who was President when the toy first appeared. I had one in 1941!
