Old Ford Dealer photos

I collect old photos of Ford dealers in the 40's and 50's, being an ex- Ford parts man. I thought I'd share a couple of a dealer in Middletown, Conn. that was in business until the early 80's I believe. I worked at another dealership with the son of the last owners and he gave me these pics. The box truck pics are back when Ford dealers would peddle parts to the independent garages in thier area.

Used to put my elbow marks on the counter (as a customer) at O'meara Ford in East Hartford many years ago. Are you sure this is an old picture?:)

I remember the name O'meara from a boss I had in the early 70's. He worked for them at one point. A little before my time. That was back in the day of Calia Ford, Pierce Buick, Lipman Motors, Newman L-M, Capitol Motors, Moriarty L-M. I remember a Ford dealer in downtown Hartford where the civic center was built. You actually went down a ramp and up into the building for service. Can't remember the name.
