I just finished my model 39 Tokheim gas pump today to put beside my 31 coupe in the garage, Do any of you guys have any pic's you could post of old car stuff that you have in your garage with your Model "A"... gas and oil sign's and old gas pumps etc? would love to see them.
What made me think of my old gas pump was today when i filled up my truck at $2.99 a gal. and then looked at the price of gas on my old pump from the 40s.

Your picture gives me some inspiration to finish my 39. It's all primed, just haven't got to the Mobil color scheme yet.

I have a lot of stuff that I collected with the idea that someday I will paint it all up.I have painted enough gas pumps, air meters, etc.for other people but I never get to my own.Three gas pumps,a Tolkheim,M&S,and a Wayne,a couple of air meters, old candy machine,Coke chests and coolers, oil bottles and racks, lubesters and various gear oil pumps, hand crank fuel pump that bolts to the floor,a Weaver mechanical floor jack that steers,a Model A engine stand that pivots on both ends and holds the block by both sides, dozens of other old shop tools.and bunches of signs.I do not own one Ford sign though.Rambler,Plymouth,OK used cars(Chevrolet).I have a neat old fridge I have been talking to Mr Tube about too.I just put this sign on craigslist,it is new,was under the stairs of an old feed store we demoed 25 years ago.Actually there is a pair, and I hung one on a shed.I got the bright idea of offering to trade one for something else I like, such as a Moxie sign,I know better than to expect to get a Ford sign for it.Within 1/2 hour I have gotten over 30 emails wanting to be first in line, demanding a price,as I had stated I wanted to trade instead of sell.I had no idea how fanatical some of these sign collectors are.Turns out the big ones are rare,as you can see it is leaning on the front of my A. I had saved them with the idea of patching the floors in my old Mack I was driving at the time.

You guys are still lucky on gas prices.

We get ripped off at $1.30 a litre here.

To you, that's 1.30 X 3.8 litres.

So, a gallon of your size here is $4.94.

one of my gas engines, a 1919 Fairbanks Moris!

When I bought mine, he had one good enough to restore and one for parts. So I used one of the doors off of the parts pump and cut it. I still have two good doors if I ever want to put it back to original. I have the pump in my home office.

I found this double-sided porcelain sign under the steel reinforcement plates that were welded in the bed of my truck when I got it!
