Does anyone know whose oil is in the O'Rilley brand containers. That is, is it Mobile, Valvoline , Pennzoil, etc. ? all I could find locally for type F trans fluid was at O'riellys, under their brand name. How good do you think it is? Will have to drive to Anchorage to find anything else.-----Jim

Their oil should be fine. Look at the service ratings on the container, match it up with a name-brand. They should be the same.

I order some oils online, Amazon or Summit. I can't find a GL4 gear oil anywhere locally. Not sure how fast the mail is to Alaska if you need it soon.

I can't find GL4 gear oil here either. The parts house guy tried to tell me the bottles marked GL4/5 was ok to use. I then pointed that out that one manufacturers label said "Not for use in synchromesh transmissions". He ordered me some Valvoline GL4. Had it the next day.

Tractor Supply stocks it, at least in my area.

just don't buy any oil with the red seal on the front of the container that says "for gasoline engines only", that oil is for roller tappet cams and has very little or no zink in it

Thanks for all the suggestions, I went ahead and bought the O'rielly brand Type F trans fluid.-------Jim
