G Geo. H Senior Member May 23, 2010 #10 I don't think any scientific tests have been made to determine the "Best" oil to use for a Model A. I use 30wt Valvoline. Almost anything you can buy today is better than what was available when the cars were new.

Kevin - Illinois Senior Member May 23, 2010 #11 I just switched from Rotella 10-40 to Pennzoil straight 30... My 35 year old engine doesn't seem to seep as badly with the 30 weight.
