Oil Stop Leak Products

Have any of you old Ford fellas used either Lucas or Blue Devil oil stop leak products with good results?? Or no results? Or, hopefully not, bad results?

those products are made to swell rubber type seals in a modern application .. early engines like the flathead had rope seals and this will not work .it cant hurt anything if you put it in your oil but wont stop any leaks ..JMO

Can only assume that you are talking about the front and/or rear oil seal.
Years ago I had a minimal leak at the front seal and tried some stop leak.
It did not work because as stated the seals are not rubber.
Shortly after, I installed a PCV system and the leak virtually stopped.
I believe it stopped because of the negative pressure induced in the crankcase by the PCV system.

PVC=VACUUM=LESS LEAKAGE I also think this will work ....Great idea 51 merc :cool:
