Oil pump question

Could someone please tell me what's the easiest way to quickly determine if an oil pump is working on a 1930 Model A?

On the side of the block on the passenger side you will see just above the pan rail a plug with a screwdriver slot. Remove this plug and crank the engine with the starter and the ignition off. If it is working you will pump out a puddle in just 10 or 15 rounds of the crank.
