oil pickup gasket

Didn't notice a gasket when I removed the pickup from the oil pump. However, after I put the pan back up and reconnected everything I found something suspiciously like an oil pickup gasket in the pack of gaskets. So...

Is it time for a cold beer, or a long night dropping the pan again????
 
First, I'd recommend a warm IPA. Then I'd recommend you start doing what you already know you should do. 8^)

Yeah... I remember in fire school trying to prime the pump on the fire truck with the intake hose just a little bit loose. I should know better.

Funny, the pump looked fine but I bought a new one just to avoid having to drop the pan again. And here I go dropping the pan again. $%&@
 
LOL, if its still on the engine stand don't forget to mount the flywheel while you have the pan back off.

Ask me how I know.
