I have some 3/32” urethane/ cork gasket material that I would like to use for a pan gasket. Can’t find the recommended thickness ,any ideas ? Is 3/32” ok?
Thanks Don S
I see no problems other perhaps than where it goes under the cork strip in the rear main bearing cap. You might consider not doing it that way and stop short of the cork strip but you'll have to be extra careful about sealing those corners with a LITTLE dab of silicone.
Others may have a different opinion and if they do, I won't "spit my dummy".

Thanks Synchro, I value your suggestion. It is still winter here, so I will get the job done but will have to report on the results in a couple of months.
