At least after three trial runs i have yet to see any drips under the car ('36 coupe)! As some of you recall from my previous threads, I suspected and repaired a potential leak from the rear of the engine (59AB). A brass screw that closed the end of an oil tube that runs down the engine was extending beyond the rear block surface and did not allow the oil pump drive cover to seal to the block. I was unable to move the screw so I filed it down to below the surface. The cover was warped so I was able to find a good, flat used one ( thanks Don Baxter!) and installed it with a new gasket. The other suspected oil leak may have been the bent edge of the oil pan that pushed the rear main cap cork gasket out of position. I straightend the edge and it lined up better. Ironically, the graphtite rope seals looked good and I kept them in position. It took a lot of work removing/reinstalling the engine for these repairs but I think it was worth it!
