Oil leak from the front

I have a new oil leak from the front of the engine. Fairly big after driving only about 10 miles around the subdivision. Any sygguestions. Thanks for the help.

Can you elaborate on why this just started? New engine?? Recent timing gear installation??? Bolts loose????

There are several areas in the "front of the engine" that oil can leak. Also, a worn thrust will allow the crank to move back & forth which can cause oil to start coming out of the seal area. While this is not meant to belittle but just to state the obvious (that you probably already have done) but have you looked for the obvious such as something cracked or a bolt loose/missing?

"VERMIN," my '29 had a BAD front oil leak, lower L/H, hidden timing cover bolt was missing. It's way back in a hidden rectangular hole below the generator mount.

wash it really clean , start it , take a flashlite & watch for the leak ......... steve
