Was looking through my book "The Legendary Model A Ford" when this caught my eye. Says that an oil gauge was standard equipment on the A. Was this true? I was under the impression that oil gauges were add ons. Maybe someone in the know can shed some light on this for me. Hopefully you can make the ad big enough to see the line. put an arrow to it and underlined it Thank You Clyde

Oil gauge=dipstick! New feature...Model T had no dipstick; there were two faucets conveniently place underneath the car. If no oil from lower...dump in more.
A-6750 is called out as "indicator, oil level" and I think is actually referred to as oil gauge in some publications. It is your dipstick.

I have been looking at, riding in, driving ,or owning Model A Fords since 1950 and I have never seen a factory installed oil pressure gauge.

I wonder if this was just "poetic license" of the ad copy writer as this is before the cars were introduced.

The reference to an "oil gauge" means what we call a "dipstick", for checking the oil- level in the crankcase.

My 1939 Farmall A still had two pet-***** on the oil-pan for checking oil-level !
