I have started up my engine after new rings, valves & seats, insert mains, clean up, and fresh paint. White smoke (lots) comes from the exhaust and it blows oil out! Yesterday, it left a puddle 6" in diameter. Since the oil isn't pumped as high as the exhaust ports, the source is a mystery to me. The manifold was clamped to the exhaust when I got it, so the previous owner shouldn't have poured oil there, for whatever reason. Should I drill a small drain hole at the low point?
