Offy regular dual?

The Offy regular dual on my 59A is a bit higher than the stock manifold and is causing the gennie to sit hard on the manifold with the stock belt. I guess I need a wide belt that's an inch or two longer than stock. Anyone else come across this problem and have a part # or other suggestion?
Thanks, Marty.

I'm running a Napa 24538. It is the same as the Gates TR24538. I have about 1" before the gennie bottoms on the manifold. My 41 pickup as a 59a with the crank mounted fan. I believe the crank pulley was changed to do this. I don't know if the 59a pulley is the same diameter as the 40.

I have found that the notched belt that NAPA sells is noisy and does not bend around the pulley as easily as I would like.
The solid belt is much too stiff for the small pitch diameter of the pulleys on the generator or alternators. I went to NAPA's garden tractor "Green" belt since it has the tension member cord in the belt designed to go around small pullies with good backbendand and not as stiff going around the pulley. These are FHP belts (fractional horsepower) and I have used these on both of my flatheads for 8 years with good luck. They can be bought in each incremental inch so it is easy to fit the right belt.

Thanks guys.
I tried the gates distributor here, and TR24538, and it's cross-referenced part # are not available here in NZ, so looks like I'll have to investigate the industrial sector.

A Goodyear 22530 applies to 46 Ford(59a). 5/8" wide by 52.5' length. The Gates TR24538 is 5/8 by 54.3" Hence the aprox 1" clearance between the gen and manifold. You should be able to get a belt of these dimensions from an industrial supply house or a truck parts outlet.

Thanks for the help. I've found a Dayco B25 which fits perfect. Now I've got about 1" gap between the gennie and the manifold. :)
