Mike Britton here. Some of you that are on the HAMB might recognize the name.
I'm about to finish up the deal on a nearly bone stock 47 Super Deluxe Tudor.
I'm excited to actually have a bona-fide 50's hot rod.
Very few changes made, and most of them made while I was still in junior high!
I know Ford Barn is for stockers but, just like the HAMB, there is a wealth of knowledge to be had here. I've learned to love search!
I'll post pics when I finally get the old gentleman to let go of the car....
Thanks, Mike

Mike, welcome to the FordBarn, lookin' forward to seeing photos. My first car was a '48 Super Deluxe TuDor, I love that body style. Vic

Welcome to the Barn Mike, there are at least 15 Mikes on here, you better distingwish your self from the rest of them.Mike B or Mikes 47 or something,. lol . Lots of help on here. "kens Ford Carburetors" ken ct.

Glad to have you aboard! Lots of help here, available for the asking. Pictures are always most welcome. I have a mostly stock '46 Deluxe Tudor Sedan - if that means anything.

welcome to the 'Barn....not just for stockers here on the 'Barn....lol....gotta love the flatheads 'tho, whether stock or hopped up.....Mike...

Welcome, its like Mike said its our love for the flathead that keeps us here. You can learn alot especially about stock just don't ask about how to pull a Flathed and put a SBC in.

They require a little time and patience and money. But there worth it. I can't tell you how many people tell me that if they see a old Ford with a SBC they just keep walking. I know when you pop the hood and see a Flathead it just looks cool whether its stock or not, you see a SBC its just a SBC no matter what you do to it.

Welcome to the Ford Barn. Gotta Love those Flatheads! I also have a have a 47 , a Super Deluxe Coupe. Let's see some pictures.

Ralph, I've been working on the old gentleman that owns this car for about six months now.
He's a close friend, and I'm beginning to think he's having a hard time letting go of the car, even though he knows I'll be a good caretaker. I've been assured the deal has been made, but I'm yet to bring the car home.
As soon as I get it home I'll take pictures. I don't know enough to know what I don't know, all my other hot rods have been later models.
I know and understand early Ford suspension, and appreciate what Henry had in mind.
Once I learn the idiosyncrasies of the flathead, I'll be OK. Thanks, Mike

Mike,
You've got a wealth of flathead knowledge available here on the Barn. Hope you are entrusted with the 47.

From my prospective I like the fordbarn a lot more than some of the other brand specific web sites... Most of the contributors to this forum are not so centered on things being completely stock like Ford made them..
Welcome aboard Mike....
