I stopped by the NSRA East Plus gathering at York fairgrounds today. Wowsers a lot of fine wheels. There was a 38 and a 39 pickup being shown. Nice. Fleas were OK and three halls were full of vendors. Somemanysweet cars/trucks to enjoy. Nice event. I did get to meet Dick Spadaro. Event continues Saturday and sunday

I arrivred at the York show yesterday. Unbelievable show. Met up with Al Casteen with his 36/40 pu. I'll be here until Sunday. JM

Just got home from York. I thought the attendance was down somewhat and there were fewer vendors. There were some really high dollar rides there - one of my favorites was a deep blue 33pu done by a father/son team from Maryland. I found some really nice Model A front fenders with asking price of $100.

I thought the repair tent was super.Seemed to have lots of tools and help going on. Looked to me like serious repairing was happening. clem

Nobody got any photos?

I have lots of pics but they are all on my cell phone and I won't be able to post until I get back home. My son will be joining me today at the show so that should make for a fun day. Seems like everywhere I go here I see someone I know or I see someones car that I have seen somewhere before. Having a great time at York! JM

Spent the morning at York, never saw so many Chevy power plants ! Lots of nice cars, trucks and buses I needed some inspiration but saw few EV8's. Carlisle Ford was this weekend also may have been a better choice. Zeke

Carlisle had very few pre war cars although I didn't get to see all the show cars. Did not look at the cars for sale.

I was there as a spectator only from about 9:30 - 2:30 PM on Sat. I did not see a regstration number past 3897, certainly nothing in the 4000s, so the numbers had to be down. I think numbers of pre-49 cars equalled the number of post-48 cars IMHO, or at least that's the way it seemed .... parking lot by the old women's world bldg was nearly empty around noon or so. Parking spaces were easily had all over ....

I think there was/is at least 1000 cars less this year than the highest they've had in the past (I seem to remember 5400 or so one year).

Upping the years didn't help them much this year IMHO but the economy I'm sure also has something to do with the numbers being down as well.

I don't think that the NSRA change will benefit them as much as they think. I usually bring my 48 conv to this. Since I wanted to go to Carlisle on Sat, I brought my 54 instead. I know of some other guys that brought newer cars instead of their pre 49 cars.
