Looks like a standard with side mount wheels.
Seems like a bargain at 13k.

"1930 Model A Convertible.
This is not a stock model A but it has been modified to make driving on the parkways easier.
Does not overheat or backfire.
Lightweight flywheel with V8 clutch & pressure plate.
New 12v negative ground alternator and battery.
New 12v electronic ignition.
Automatic spark advance.
Five speed T5 transmission.
Modern gas shocks.
New spindles and kingpins.
4-wheel Juice brakes with Lincoln drums and 2" wide shoes.
New rear spindles to receive the drum brakes.
Stromberg 97 Carburetor mounted on a Burns down draft manifold.
Good interior & rumble seat.
Good manual convertible top.
The true millage is unknown.
This is not a show car but runs great and turns a lot of heads."

So in response to your question let me ask you these two questions;

1st, -is this something that your average MARC/MAFCA member would want to build?

2nd, -since the Seller evidently knows the details of this vehicle by the wording of the listing, why do you think he has it priced $10k under what would arguable be considered 'fair market value??

We have the same thing happening here in California for houses, where the realtor advises the seller to intentionally list the house intentionally well under "fair market value" in order to incite a bidding war. That way the realtor can advertise "we had XXX offers and it sold YYY dollars above listing price", implying that it was all due to the realtor's efforts when in fact it was due to their ineptitude at reading the market.

And, to the first question - I guess I'm pretty average, but this would not be something I'd build. Even if I could get it for say $12K it would cost me a bunch of time and money to return it to a more stock condition that I'd consider desirable.

I'm maybe not the typical Model A owner/builder, but yes-it is something I'd want to own or build. Looks like a good deal for sure if you are into a modified A. Pretty well thought-out combination I think.

I believe that the seller makes it very transparent that his intentions were not to sell it to the "purist" crowd. I believe that there is a market for tastefully done modifications. There's quite a list here but nothing too obscene (with the exception of the T5 maybe). I think someone will want to buy this, definitely has a look to it

I would buy it if I had the room and money.

It is not an auction. You can "buy it now" or make an offer.

The seller calls it a convertible and not a roadster. This indicates to me that the seller is not fully knowledgeable on the Model A market. The modifications would also indicate to me that the seller is not a Model A aficionado.

A good deal for someone who likes what this is.

The T5 and juice brakes are deal-breakers for me........
Juice brakes and modern shocks would be the same for me. I could live with a T5, I suppose, if it was already in but I would not put one in myself. I guess I'm just a dinosaur.
