Does anybody know how many of the pre model t fords are still out there? And how many are still operable and/or on public display?

Usually the question is "how many T's are left"? But the answer is probably the same. There's no way to tell aside from a best guess answer. Plus there's no way to get that information from one source.

There has been mention of an Early Ford Registry on the MTFCA forum site. (site is down at the present but should be up in a bit). When it's back up go to the search and put that in and see what comes up on earlier threads.

They have had several good discussions about the Ford models before the T....

Just Google Early Ford Registry. Site isn't connected with MTFCA so should be up. You may be able to find some numbers there. Definitly what's out there is $$$

I don't think there is any one answer. What qualifies as a Model T? At one end of the spectrum you have those Model Ts that are more or less in their origional form, licensed and driven frequently. At the other end are those just this side of a spare parts collection. In between are the speedsters, tractor conversions, yard dogs, nearly road ready, runnable but in restoration, etc.
