Any suggestions from you guys out there on a cure for leaky tire bead to rim seal on those tubeless tires on those lawn tractor & snow blower wheels, other than going the tube route? Did the usual clean the rim scenario but since weeks can go by between use it's a constant flat tire worry and a pain in the butt to get air in once the bead lets loose and its really cold out!

I use slime in my mowers and my golf cart, and have had to add air one time this season, as opposed to once a week.

Funny you should ask, as I'm just getting ready to go outside and fix 4 laeking beads on a riding lawn mower and on my lawn tractor.
Flat tires are always Model A related.:D

If the tires weren't weather checked, then I'd do as Mitch said.

I was going to try the easy cheap fixes, but decided since the tires have some weather checks, the best way to keep them inflated would be to install new inner tubes. I thought this would mean cheap China crap that I'd have to gamble on. I bought these 4 off ebay, from an outfit in Texas. Turns out they all say Carlisle, which made me feel good. All 4 delivered in 2 days for $43. Hard to beat that and know that I shouldn't have to air them up each time I use the machines.:)

They came in yesterday's mail, so I better get them on before the snow flies.

I found tubes the best answer to my lawn tractor tires. I run the thing in some very ruff ground and it picks up a lot of stuff bad for tubeless tires.

Guess it's time to quit for the day. I got the calcium cloride out of 2 tires, removed one tire, rinsed and dried the tire and rim, then got the inner tube installed and the wheel remounted. Got the second tire drained and started to hammer it off the rim. Missed with my 3 pound hammer, hit my hand and drew blood.:mad: Enough for today.

Hope I wasn't premature in my praise of Carlisle tubes, as I just read the plastic bag they came in, and it dies say "made in China". I thought Carlisle was still made in the USA. They are thick and do look like good quality though. The stems look like quality molding to the rest of th tube.

Tom i am just curious. Does your hand have an inprint on it from the hammer head? Ouch. ;) Been there and done that more than once.

No, but it did remove some layers of skin and bled for a couple hours.
I had to go back to the hospital this morning because my leg was getting worse instead of better from the fall 2 weeks ago. The doctor told me to leave the hand open to the air, but I have some gauze over it. It needs some protection.:)

Mitch, I can only hope!
