Nos battery case vs. Reproduction

I am showing two battery cases, one which I know is a NOS unit and the other, I'm thinking is a reproduction.
1. Photo shows the front of both cases.
2. Photo shows the tops of both cases. (Note the NOS case is built heavier).
3. Photo shows the bottom of the NOS case.
4. Photo shows the bottom or the other case.
5. Photo shows the date cast into the bottom of the NOS case.
6. Photo shows "TYPE 40" cast into top center of NOS case. Second case is blank.
Is that second case a reproduction or a later FORD production ?

I understand Drake was going to get into batteries at one time. I have one his cases. I may just check the marks in it to see if they are similiar.

A very well learned fellow, on the "A" FORDBARN site, assures me that the RICHARDSON case is an original one, so I assume, that they are both original. The lighter one must just be a later production.
The story on the cases is, that a friend of mine, found a NOS FORD "A" battery case and my FORD V8 case in a small battery rebuilding shop in the mid 60s. He kept the NOS "A" case and gave me the V8 case.
