Nos axle

[35 coupe]

On a nos 35 stock axle is it necessary to ream it out and put bushings in in. It is a very tight fight fit now with nos king pins without bushings. Thanks for all the help, it is greatly appreciated.

The king pin should fit very snug in the axle and be locked in with the tapered bolt. The bushings fit in the spindle and will need to be reamed to fit the king pin. The axle shouldnt need to be reamed unless you have an oversized king pin.

kingpin should fit axle. a lot of n.o.s. stuff is reject. check your axle i.d. with another axle. make sure you have right kingpins.

Also holes must be clean ... as in very clean .. no paint - no rust - no .......
Run a ream in if need be ... 13/16 is the size.

Please dont ever ream one and bush it back down.
