No kidding, I bought these in the 60s from a Ford dealership. They still have (scratched) pale yellow color of about 42-48 Ford pickup and commercial trucks. I believe other than the paint they are the same as 1938 passenger, except they are painted. I also have used 1940 Ford exterior handles good but not quite perfect for $30. And NOS vent window handles for this era (no kiddin) $30. Two varieties. prs518@live.com
