We are putting together a short notice run .Here are the details .
Hello . Here are the details of the run on Sunday , Sept 1st . This is going to be a follow the leader run .I will be leading and driving at a normal to slower speed to enjoy the drive. I will hand out maps but the idea is to all stay together so when we get lost, we are all lost together. We call this a "no drop" run so basically be won't leave anyone behind unless they choose stay behind . We are not limiting the run to a cut off year . We would like it to stay an early car run to a point , but we are open to anyone interested in driving/enjoying old cars , just no modern cars . This will be a very low key run . It is roughly 150 miles of mostly back roads ,lots of hills , great views and there is a 1 mile section of ROUGH dirt road so be prepared for that . We will idle through it !! fun fun !!
We will meet at Starbucks , 3100 Lakeville hwy ,Petaluma CA 95954 .
Meeting time is 8:15 to 9:00 am , Sept 1st , 2013 . We will be at starbuck so we can all grab coffees, breakfast etc . There is also a Mr Pickle sandwich shop next to starbucks to get our sandwiches for lunch before we leave. There will be a stop about a 45 min before the designated lunch stop to get cold drinks/chips etc.
We want to leave between 9:00am to 9:30am .
We will stop at some designated areas to make sure we have everyone and make sure all is well with everyone.
There will be a gas stop and the drink/chip etc stop at around 75 miles . We will then head down the road to another spot to eat around 1:00 ish depending on how we do to this point.
The run will end at another Starbucks in Napa at roughly 3:00 pm ish depending on to many factors to count . We can all get an afternoon coffee/snack and socialize for a while until we head are separate ways. There is a big non-winged sprint car race in Calistoga that evening if anyone is not ready to head hm. I know one of the guys is going for sure.
Stuff to bring would be chairs to sit around during lunch ,a small cooler for lunch , Cell phones so you can call if something happens . Feel free to pack your own lunch/snacks/drink.That's what we do so we save money and I can buy more old Ford parts !
I think that's it . I would like to get RSVP's from anyone going so we know how many to expect .
It will be a great day . Thanks , Mike 707 217 8751
