I wish I had a neighbor like that! the ones I have scream and yell at each other!
one day I was in my shop and I could not hear the radio, I yelled SHUT THE F%&$ UP! then it got real quiet!

My noisey neighbor thinks that he and his buddies are a band. We have nicknamed their band "Scumbag Circus". Rod

The noise isn't the only thing about living two doors away from Ford Barn's "Greg in Jax" ... there's the guilt from being lazy while he labors away on his projects.

... fortunately the guilt passes pretty quickly.

LOL ...I said exactly that to my neighbour just yesterday. I've never had a neighbour that noisy before, he's recently moved in (renting) and he just talks at the top of his voice day and night ( I live in a side by side upstairs downstairs unit). I'd be happy if he got himself a v860 Bantam, down here at the *** end of the world it would have to be an Austin 7 I suppose. :)

Graeme, that is exactly what you are looking at. The Bantam was a later model of the American-licensed Austin 7. Same chassis, drive train, etc., just with US bodies. So, this is an Austin 7 roadster with a Ford V8-60. Makes for a quick ride. This was the first shakedown outing, it will be complete and look better over the next few weeks. Thanks to Hoop for posting the photo and videos. Nice to have another flathead guy on the street.

Hoop and Greg are on the short list of people I wish I could have transplanted to the mountains with me.
I miss hanging out with them and am glad FordBarn gives this glimpse of what's going on down there.......

Yes Greg thats right but the Bantam body lends itself a bit better to rodding than a boxy seven. An old timey rodder here the late Colin "shady" Lane had a 7 he used to drag and it was quite quick. It was powered by a 1725 Hillman super Minx engine ( same engine as used in the British Sunbeam Rapier/ Alpine). As you say the light bodys lend themselves well to a decent engine transplant. Just look what happened to the Sunbeam alpine when Carol Shelby stuffed a 260/289 SB ford into it!
