Check to make sure one side of the coil is hot (battery), from the other side it goes to the pop out switch then to the points and to ground when the points close.
Place a piece of paper between the points, then when you place a "quick" short across them and the pop out switch is in the "on" position you should get spark. If nothing then try quickly applying and removing a short on the "point or switch" side of the coil you should get a spark. If you get a spark by applying a quick ground to the point side of the coil, and not when you apply a quick short across the points, you have a bad switch, or a broken wire between the switch and coil, the switch and distributor, or a bad jumper wire in the distributor. This is all assuming you have an original wired car. Take it one piece at a time and locate the problem.
