no fuel

i blew air thou the line from flex line back no blockage. i did hear an air leak at flex line fixed that. still no fuel . even put fuel in bowl of pump no gas got pused in to carb . filled float bowl of carb car run until float bowl of carb ran out. no gas ever came to pump bowl.

In addition to all the other good advice, have you double-checked the tightness of the glass bowl? This happened to me when I changed my first fuel pump and afterwards I was good-to-go. It seems the slightest breach in suction will prevent these from working. Also, have you performed a vacuum test on the pump? If it is working, I believe the reading should be around 10 lbs and will steadily decrease after a few seconds. Good luck and hope you are able to resolve the problem. Steve

Blow on the gas tank, small amount of positive air. us the output of your shop vac. or your mouth ?? check for leaks at the engine ??..... OLD...BILL

ok ill check. i still will replace the dia that is the only thing that is left. pump bowl is as tight as it can be.

I know maybe its not pumping enough, Short fuel pump rod? maybe hook up everything with a clear tubing then you can see ware the problem is. thats what I did, found out BAD DIOfram Cheers BIG MIKE

My guess is that the pot metal top where the glass bowl sits into is warped due to overtightening the clamp. Warpage here allows the pump to suck air and will never pump fuel properly. Check by trying to rock the unclamped glass bowl with the gasket removed. Most times you can true it up by clamping the cover in a vise, using it as a press to straighten out the cover and get it square again. Good luck : Bruce

The gas will dissolve any goo you put up there. The thick cork gasket will accomidate a slight amount of warpage. Is it warped at all did you check it. Check w/o gasket or screen. Does it rock back and forth. The high spots will be at the bale sides so it will rock front to rear. ken ct.
