nipples

My neighbour found these grease nipples on his 2005 Dodge Caravan. He came to borrow my shop grease gun and returned, frustrated that it wouldn't seal to the ball joints.

They're so much like an Alamite that I dug out a Model A gun and tried it. These ones have a check valve but the Model A gun seems to fit fine.

Did he find any cuff links? You need a crisply pressed and starched shirt with French cuffs to use Alemite fittings. Look here: LINK

I see my blunder Mike...it's should be spelled Alemite.

And your link linked me to no links...just an error message.

Can you see this?
Apparently I've been shamefully underdressed when using the 'ole grease gun.

I've never seen anything like the top right picture. Is he spraying lead into a dent? Seems like the fender would need to be pretty hot.

They expain grinding the dent till shiny clean and wiping with a "cold tinning compound". Next the gun is connected to a 65 psi air supply and the element inside the gun warms up till you can spray the lead directly into the dent. It seems they filled good sized dents particularily on roofs to save time dropping the headliner.
The lead is finished to a fine surface, no mention of primer (although it probably got a hit of lacquer base primer) and goes directly to the paint room.

Once "wrecked out" a '53 Buick with a quarter panel "BUILT" out of LEAD!! Now! I know how they did it! FINALLY I can SLEEP!! Bill W.
