NH Carburetor - Improvement Tips?

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to improve/maximize the performance of the Ford/Holley NH Carburetor? I found some information at the following link http://www.evmtfc.com/CarbIntro.pdf which claims a 50% improvement in flow.
