Anyone have a slick way to remove a monster 4 speed unsynchronized trany out of my 51 f1 I'm pretty sure it needs to come up from below through the cab because the crossmember is not removable, I have been searching for the preferred method with little luck, thanks Alec
 
Thanks just wanted confirmation that I'm on the right track also with jacking up engine enough to clear the crossmember with the bottom of trany will that put a strain on water pump hoses and radiator or is there that much movement that far forward ? Thank you for the info
 
Just raise the engine enough for the transmission to come off the cross member. With that small amount of movement your hoses and radiator should be fine.
