Newbie window regulator question

I've got the RF window and regulator out of my 1930 Tudor to replace the window channels and have a silly question.

Is the round "button" at the end of the regulator arm, which engages the channel at the base of the glass, supposed to rotate? I would think so but mine is rusted so firmly that I'm not sure and none of my manuals makes it clear if it does in fact rotate.

If it is supposed to rotate, any tips on how to free it up? PB Blaster applied over several weeks hasn't helped at all.

I'd replace the regulator with a new one if the vendors I checked with weren't all out of stock...

I just checked to ones from my Tudor and none of them move. They do have a rivet through them which tells me they where intended not to move.

Yep, even though they look like they should rotate, they do not. Be sure to grease all moving parts, including this sliding part, and you'll have a nice operating window.

That's one of the great parts of the old car hobby in the internet age, a point I made in a condensed version of my OR-to-GA trip story soon to be published in a car club magazine.
