Hi Folks,
Fairly new to the hobby, I have a '28 Tudor that was restored about 30+ years ago, which has been in the family for about 10 years.
As a die hard tinkerer I like to take things apart (within skill level) and of course learn how they work. I've been searching the Barn for a bit now trying to learn as much as possible about the Model A. I must say the knowledge and feedback on this site is amazing. Hopefully I'll be able to contribute some time in the future.
Recently I pulled the intake/exhaust manifold getting ready to replace a leaky valve cover gasket, and found the rear intake port quite wet with what looks like oil, but possibly a wet carbon type mix?? Anyway I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on what might be the cause. I've (hopefully) attached a few pictures
thanks in advance.....Tim
