Howdy from Tomball, Texas, a sleepy little burb of Houston! Been lurking here for a while and thought I'd better introduce myself so that I could start asking some questions. I'm a lifelong lover of old trucks, having been around 2 of the best gearheads ever, my dad and grandfather! Both are now gone, but their love for anything that moves under its own power lives on in me!

My mother gave me my dad's '34 PU late last year and I'm finally ready to get it down here and enjoy it as dad did for over 50 years. He bought the truck in 1954, 2 months after I was born, so you could say that it's been in the family for as long as I can remember.:D

Anyway, enough about me! I look forward to drawing on ya'lls knowledge and experience. This is a great forum and hope that you guys will accept me and teach me everything I need to know about this great old piece of tin!

Welcome aboard! Good to have you. The Barn is a great place to access info from many knowledgable people.

34 pickups are great old trucks and have really become popular. Kind of a transition from the traditional Model A to the later more powerful V-8 pass cars. Basic but still elegant in looks and design. Guess that is why I kept 3 of them. Hope you can pass it on to the next generation.

Welcome,

I grew up just outside of Tomball/ Houston off the old FM 149(don't know what they are calling it now) and my parents still live there. I used to go fishing and camping at a friends farm just outside of Tomball. Some of the best fun I ever had.

Welcome Ken, I flew into Huston in 1962 on the way to Lackland AFB. Enjoy your ride by driving it!

Welcome aboard! You can get a good education on this site. Ryan should hand out diplomas. I favor pu's myself and have a 1928 AV8 pu started besides Lil' Red.
